She asked a lot of insightful questions and made me think hard and deep about my answers.
I liked her question about how I came up for the title for the Dust To Dust series. No one has asked me that before. Here is what I answered:
"Dust To Dust is the series title for the newest book and that actually came from my YA occult suspense book, Fear Club. That book is about a girl who loses her soul to a group of Soul Eaters. She has to get it back before she turns to dust. One of the supernatural characters tells her, “Dust is not the end.” I took that idea and thought and thought about what could happen to the spirit if someone turned to dust without their soul. The solution was Tamsin West and her ability to body jump into someone who has just died – but only if they are a supernatural – and live again to hunt her murderers."
I also liked her question, "Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?"
This is what I answered: Absolutely. It’s in all my books. The spirit is amazingly strong and death is not the end, only a transformation.
