Fear Club 2: The Summoning picks up after Lexie and Julian have battled the Soul Eaters for the first piece of her soul. They won, but at great cost to their companions. After the battle, the Captain of the Soul Eaters Tokyo Cell taunts Lexie that her mother -- who deserted her long ago -- is somehow connected to the Soul Eaters. And worse, one of her friends in Paris is the traitor who guided the Club right to Lexie.
Julian and Lexie fly to Berlin on the trail of an ancient Viking Sorcerer they believe holds the second piece of her soul.
What they don't know is he is hunting Lexie and especially Julian for deadly reasons of his own. And he's not alone.
Witches, Faeries, talking snakes, and some surprising new family members all have Lexie on their 'most wanted' list! Not all of them are bad, but not all of them are good either.

The Kaiser Wilhelm Church. Julian and Lexie come here searching for clues to the supernatural ceremony the Viking Soul Eater Baldur is planning. What they find is far more than they -- and especially Lexie -- bargained for.
The stone snake on the lintel of one of the buildings at Kaiser Wilhelm church. I spotted this and just knew it had to be part of the story. The snake inspired me to write the whole sequence about the talking snake and the clues it has to Lexie's heritage.
Looking out of the Starbucks on K-Damm where Lexie goes to meet Julian. This is where I usually have breakfast when I'm in Berlin. Just outside there is one of the public water fountains I mention in the book and where Lexie sees the water sprites and the Spook Vos fox.
Currywurst! Berliners love their sausage with curry powder and ketchup. Lexie wants to stop for Currywurst after leaving Alexanderplatz but Julian insists on a different place.

The Brandenburg Gate, Berlin. To avoid spoilers, let me just say Lexie has a very important meeting in sight of this famous gate. In the bad old days of the Cold War, this gate was on locked into communist East Berlin.
Lexie talks about the beautiful mosaics that survived the bombing of the church. This is one in the floor of the dome of the Archangel Michael fighting the devil.
By Zoo Station near Kaiser Wilhelm Church. This is the crossing I envisioned -- a walkway, cars zipping underneath and trains rumbling overhead -- where Lexie finds the hidden doorway to... sorry, spoilers.
